Can you live in a virtual reality (VR) world forever without doing anything else except playing games or watching movies all day long (no work)?
Is it possible for people to live in a perfect world without any problems while also having advanced technology like virtual reality to keep them occupied?
Yes but will be extremely hard and probably it will be required for a special kind of police.
Why. because a lot of humans are not prepared to live in a perfect world.
In such environment a LOT of people will have a lot of problems, I explain the ones that i think.
1) Workaholics -> I know this because my father is one, and even if now he is retired he needs to keep doing things the should not do. He cannot stay quiet and relax he feels the need to fix something (and bother anyone and everyone if he cannot do it himself). Not to mention injures he gets for doing things he should not be doing.
So suppose that the world were so perfect he will not need to fix anything or cut the lawn or keep things tidy and clean -> he will be extremely bored and try to do things that then he will not be allowed. Then will constantly complain even if he will do that stuff really worst.
2) Trolls -> These are people that take pride and enjoy bothering others, the more the people is happy the more they enjoy braeaking that ,or at least making them doubt. -> I know this because i know about a friend that is like that. For example he meet someone that has been in certain church all his life and his pride was to make him think if he really wanted to be such or his parents inculcated that on him. And for that he used the bible even if he does not believe on it. He gained absolutely ANYTHING from it except the fact of conflicting this other person.
3) Bullies -> Worst than trolls, there are certain people, that normally are bad into trying to do stuff, so because they feel themselves insecure, they try to turn down everyone else. But obviously if they are paid with the same, they complain, exagerate and even lie about it. I do not really know people like this except when i was about 15, and i manage to get them expelled by exposing them. He manage to hit me but that was the last nail on the coffin as i got sure a preceptor was watching it. and had allies that claim he started it.
4) Appropriators -> People that for any reason will take credit of what someone else does, normally this people are jerks. And have very small lack of emphaty.
5) Sociopaths and psicopaths -> that clearly are mentally ill, and do not care about others but about themselves and their inner wants.
Now if you mean in this perfect world no one like that will exist, then perfect but, in a lot of cases then humanity will probably go down and become extremely stupid. That is what I feel by no means i mean it will truly be like that.
But in such world i will play video games all day.
