Does using a vr worsen your eyesight?

  • 0

Since the screens in your headset are literally millimeters away from your eyes do they worsen your eyesight? But at the same time things are technically at a distance and I’m pretty sure you eyesight worsens (when closely looking at monitors and the like for prolonged periods of time) because your brain thinks you have no more need for further vision so it abandons it in a way, but using a vr your brain thinks it is literally in a different place

Now before you berate and assault me for spewing bs, this is what I have been told so I’m not 100% sure about its validity, and even if I’m wrong could I still get an explanation?

Thx in advance

EDIT: some of you are saying its yet to be proven to worsen your eyesight when you look at a screen for a prolonged time, and yes it may not necessarily be just a screen but any object close to your face like a book, but yes it does worsen your eyesight overtime because I and many others did degrade our eyesight this way
